If you are a makeup obsessive like myself, you will have no doubt been hearing about the Too Faced ‘Sweet Peaches’ palette for months. It is definitely one of, if not the most highly anticipated eyeshadow palettes of the year, and sold out everywhere as soon as it was released.
The palette contains 18 shades of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and pops of purples that are all infused with the juicy scent and antioxidant-rich essence of peach. I was in love as soon as I set eyes on it!
Last month I was invited to an event at The Body Shop to try out their new British Rose range and take a look at the other new ranges in store. I was actually really pleasantly surprised by the entire range; the scent is super fresh and feminine, and there are some wonderful new products. To top it all off, the products in the British Rose range are all made from 100% organic roses – grown by The Body Shop’s passionate farmers in Herefordshire.
Accessories can make or break an outfit, and some outfits just aren’t complete without the perfect complimenting shoes, bag, belt or jewellery.
I love finding great accessories, but one thing I find difficult to come across is a really great belt. I have very few belts at all, meaning I very rarely wear them, but sometimes I just crave a good leather belt to complete an outfit.
For me, there seem to be so many amazing new makeup products popping up, that make their way into my collection and before I know it I can’t believe I ever lived without them.
Highlighter was certainly one of these for me, and it is without a doubt now one of my favourite items of makeup, and part of my routine.Read More
I was very excited this week to be invited to the launch of the Style Station by The Red Angel Hair Company. A great concept I had seen pop up on social media recently, where the idea is that you nip in for a stylish yet quick and super affordable hair style – ideal for nights out, for lazy days where you just need someone else to style your hair, or for if you are fancying something a little bit different.
For those of you who know me, you will know that I am a self-confessed foodie. There is nothing I like more than going out for a meal and sampling the food and drink offerings of the city. As Valentine’s Day is also my anniversary with my boyfriend, this year he booked us in for the Valentine’s taster menu at Quill restaurant on King Street in Manchester. Of course this was a surprise for me, so that all I knew before we arrived is that we were going to a restaurant and there were going to be 10 courses. Knowing this leading up to the day was pure excitement and torture at the same time – I love surprises but I was dying to find out where we were going and what delicious food we would be eating.
As you know, the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter is one of the most sought after and highly acclaimed highlighters quite possibly of all time. When I finally got my hands on it, it went straight to the top of the bill in my favourite beauty products of all time.
With such infamous and sought after pieces like this, it is rare that drug store products can ever replicate them or live up to the same quality, making it difficult to find dupes or a cheaper product that will give a similar effect.
Despite this, I recently heard that there was a drug store product that was quite similar to Champagne Pop, so I just had to try it out for myself.
