I was very excited this week to be invited to the launch of the Style Station by The Red Angel Hair Company. A great concept I had seen pop up on social media recently, where the idea is that you nip in for a stylish yet quick and super affordable hair style – ideal for nights out, for lazy days where you just need someone else to style your hair, or for if you are fancying something a little bit different.
For those of you who know me, you will know that I am a self-confessed foodie. There is nothing I like more than going out for a meal and sampling the food and drink offerings of the city. As Valentine’s Day is also my anniversary with my boyfriend, this year he booked us in for the Valentine’s taster menu at Quill restaurant on King Street in Manchester. Of course this was a surprise for me, so that all I knew before we arrived is that we were going to a restaurant and there were going to be 10 courses. Knowing this leading up to the day was pure excitement and torture at the same time – I love surprises but I was dying to find out where we were going and what delicious food we would be eating.
As you know, the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter is one of the most sought after and highly acclaimed highlighters quite possibly of all time. When I finally got my hands on it, it went straight to the top of the bill in my favourite beauty products of all time.
With such infamous and sought after pieces like this, it is rare that drug store products can ever replicate them or live up to the same quality, making it difficult to find dupes or a cheaper product that will give a similar effect.
Despite this, I recently heard that there was a drug store product that was quite similar to Champagne Pop, so I just had to try it out for myself.
I think it’s pretty clear to say that marble is the current ‘in’ print. There is something just so clean and sophisticated about it – you will probably have noticed it popping up more and more, especially on the likes of social media. In fact, Instagram is probably to thank for so many people loving this print, with the perfect flat-lays and crisp, bright-white marble accessories. These are most definitely what caught my eye.
With the winter weather most definitely upon us, I love nothing better than getting into my favourite comfies and having a day in the cosiness of my apartment. Watching movies, getting a take out and lazing around are what Sundays are made for.Read More
So it’s that time of year again; Christmas is just a distant memory and Valentine’s Day is upon us once again. I don’t know about you but sometimes I can find it challenging to think of great gift ideas when you’ve just used them all up at Christmas, and the generic chocolate and flowers just doesn’t quite cut it (especially when you’ve still got a cupboard full of treats left over from the festive season).
This year I have the perfect solution. Not only is it personalised – to show that special someone you really put some thought into their gift, but you also have the chance of winning it for free!
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse – I am a convert.
A nourishing dry oil designed to condition and replenish skin and hair; this product quickly became a cult favourite, and I can totally see why.
