Manchester Smokehouse & Cellar
I was recently invited to the launch of a new restaurant in the city centre – Manchester Smokehouse and Cellar. Manchester boasts an incredible choice for dining, which seems to just keep growing and growing with no sign of ever slowing down. Not that I am complaining; being a self-confessed foodie, I love trying out the new bars and restaurants, ticking them off my list and adding them to my repertoire.
#DateNight with The Printworks
The Printworks in Manchester is somewhere that everyone who lives in the city has heard of. Based in the heart of Manchester, the Printworks is handily located right next to The Arndale shopping centre, and bang in the middle of Victoria train station and Shudehill tram stop – making it super accessible for locals and tourists alike. A huge venue housing a range of restaurants, bars, clubs, a cinema and even a gym – The Printworks was once ‘Withy Grove Printing House’, printing newspapers for over 100 years until it closed in 1985. Lying dormant for over 10 years, the 1996 bomb attack in the city centre spurred on a redevelopment process for the area, and The Printworks was opened in 2000 to the public.Read More

Quill | Restaurant Review
For those of you who know me, you will know that I am a self-confessed foodie. There is nothing I like more than going out for a meal and sampling the food and drink offerings of the city. As Valentine’s Day is also my anniversary with my boyfriend, this year he booked us in for the Valentine’s taster menu at Quill restaurant on King Street in Manchester. Of course this was a surprise for me, so that all I knew before we arrived is that we were going to a restaurant and there were going to be 10 courses. Knowing this leading up to the day was pure excitement and torture at the same time – I love surprises but I was dying to find out where we were going and what delicious food we would be eating.
