18 Tips for Getting on the Property Ladder
In 2013 I was lucky enough to buy my first property. It was easily one of the most stressful things I have ever done, but 100% worth it. It can be such a daunting thing to even think about as there is so much to take into consideration, you can feel like your brain is about to explode 99% of the time. Well I did anyway.
I thought it would be helpful to make a list of what I found most important, and what helped the most during the process. Did I mention I also love lists? And hopefully this will prevent your brain from feeling quite as explosive as mine.
Hanging up the Blanket Scarf
It’s that time of year when the sun starts to return, and half of Britain is already wearing sunglasses and shorts, even though it’s still cold.
The past few days in Manchester have been lovely and sunny, and for some parts of the day it’s actually not been cold; although I wouldn’t go as far as warm, and definitely not hot, which some people seem to think it is judging by their outfit choices. Spring is definitely arriving and I’m getting excited about what summer and beautiful weather will bring. I much prefer a summer wardrobe, so I’m looking forward to that, but I will be sad to put away some of my winter faves.
The Look Fantastic Beauty Box
I have had SUCH a crazy week! Mothers day, birthdays, catch ups, sorting out a holiday and life in general has been taking all of my spare time, but I seem to have finally got on top of everything, so id like to share something I have been wanting to share for ages.
The Look Fantastic Beauty Box.
The market for these boxes is really taking off, and I have seen so many that when I decided I wanted to try one of these cute boxes filled with shiny new products, I didn’t know where to begin! I can’t remember how I found this, I’m assuming it was probably Instagram as that is where I seem to see everything I want these days, but I looked into this one after finding it and saw so many great reviews that I decided this would be the first beauty box I’d try.

Straight to the point
So I have been searching for the perfect point. There are some gorgeous ones out there at the moment, but I find a lot of them either A. squash all of my toes so that my foot retains the shape of the shoe when I take them off, B. are so expensive that I would need to re-mortgage my apartment before buying them, and unfortunately I have too much stuff to live in a shoe, or C. Look like old woman shoes. And nobody likes that. Apart from old women.
Dressed Up Denim
Recipe: Easy Thai Green Curry
This is a meal I cook at least a couple of times a month. One of Jay’s friends cooked it for him once, then Jay recreated it for me because he like it so much and ever since then we have been having it on a regular basis! One of my favourite things about it is that the flavours are so versatile, the base ingredients work so well together that you can experiment with adding extra veg or different meat and its always super tasty. We actually just cooked this for my parents this week, but we added loads of stir fry veg and made some rice to go with it; needless to say it was a huge hit. The other great thing about this is its so easy to make a huge batch, I often make about 6 servings at a time and freeze a couple of them. It makes such a great mid-week meal when you cant be bothered cooking but wanting something really delicious; I just take it out in the morning and reheat it in the evening. Super yummy.
