The White House
The White House run successful clinics in Edinburgh, Belfast, Exeter and Dublin, and have recently opened their newest branch in Manchester. They have been accredited with the ‘Top Teeth Whitening System’ by the Dental Advisor for the last consecutive 5 years.
Teeth whitening is a hugely popular procedure, and there are so many ways now in which you can do this. I have tried a couple of these teeth whitening methods before (you can see my posts here and here) but I’ve never had them whitened professionally.
My Experience
Last month I was invited to try the advanced teeth-whitening treatment in their newly established Manchester branch. The treatment is a quick and non-invasive treatment, and the full session only lasts around an hour. Perfect for those who are looking for quick results!
The dentist explained the procedure to me, and made me feel really comfortable about the treatment. The whitening is applied in three lots of 15 minute sessions, one after another. A guard is placed in the mouth to ensure all of your teeth have exposure to the light. I then had whitening gel applied and threw on my super-fashionable protective glasses, and the whitening commenced.
As I had my treatment during a break in the middle of my busy day, I found it quite relaxing! During each 15 minute session, the dentist left me to it. I simply watched TV and let the whitening take its course.
The Results
After my 45 minutes were up, I had a quick rinse and that was the treatment complete! The only after-care is simply to follow an all white diet for the next 24 hours.
I snapped some quick selfies after the treatment as I was impressed with how white they actually were! My teeth weren’t very discoloured before the treatment but I could 100% see a difference.
The Cost
The cost of procedure is £250 but currently on offer for £169. I actually think this is really affordable compared to other whitening treatments on the market.
Is it worth it?
In short, I would say yes. The treatment is non-sensitive, pain-free, very quick and one of the more affordable options I have seen. I was really pleased with my results upon leaving The White House.
My only reservation with the treatment is that I don’t think it is one that you could have once and never re-visit. My teeth now are probably almost back to how they started; although they weren’t very yellow to begin with. However, I would have been absolutely over the moon if the bright white colour remained. I do consider that I enjoy a varied diet with lots of colour and foods that aren’t ideal for keeping teeth white.
The White House do actually offer a 100% money back guarantee. This means that if you aren’t satisfied or see a change of at least 5 shades, you can either have further top-up sessions to achieve this, or get your money back. I think to be 100% satisfied I would go back for some top-up sessions to keep my pearly whites sparkling.
Overall, I think this is a great treatment as a quick and affordable whiten. Its perfect if you are getting married or have a special event, and just looking for that whitening-boost. You aren’t going to be left with blindingly brilliant white teeth that stand the test of time; so don’t expect to come out looking like Jimmy Carr! But certainly for the price, speed and ease, you will get a professional quality experience that you wouldn’t achieve at home.
