Correndo
I was recently sent this workout set from Correndo and wanted to share with you guys. Its not that often I discover a new gym brand that I love as much as my go-to’s. Correndo are a brand born from searching bright, unapologetically popping athleisure wear, but found everything was quite muted and toned down. So, they decided to make it themselves!
Fun fact – Correndo is actually Portuguese for Running. They combine everything you have come to expect from seamless gym wear – anti bacterial properties, sweat wicking ability and all with four way stretch, light, compressive fabrics. However, their approach to colour blocking and mix and matching across sets allow you to take Correndo out of the gym and onto the high street, into the bars, shops or just to the sofa!
The Ink Set
Now I know what you’re thinking.. after my little intro about colour, here I am wearing all black. But hear me out. I have always been a black outfit girly. However this year I’ve really gotten into colour and making my outfits a bit louder! However, when it comes to the gym, I’m definitely still in the darker colours camp. I love that Correndo offer these brighter colours, and I’d totally consider switching up the bralette for something a little more eye catching. Especially if I were to wear this as athleisure. However, I knew that I would be using this set mostly for the gym, so I chose the ink bralette and leggings.
I think its great that Correndo actually still offer neutrals. Especially their aim was to create something brighter and more fun. However I appreciate that they know a lot of people maybe don’t feel confident enough to rock brights in the gym, or maybe just prefer something more toned down like me. Mixing and matching with their sets would be a great way to start incorporating colour without committing to a full colour co-ord.
Review
I actually really like this set. I am totally one of those people who gravitate towards the same brands for gymwear, as I know which ones I prefer and don’t tend to stray. However Correndo has definitely made its way into my regulars drawer. The shape of both pieces as well as the material is really flattering. It sucks you in in the right places without being uncomfortable. The bralette has removable pads too, so you can adjust as you prefer. My only thing to call out was that the material wasn’t how I expected it to be. A lot of my sports wear is that sort of shiny material, but this is more of a matte. Not necessarily a negative, just something to mention if you prefer the shiny sets! I do also love that it’s antibacterial. Ive never heard of that before but 100% a bonus when you’re using the same gym and equipment as other people!
Overall its a keeper for me – comfy, compressing and great to workout in.
