It’s that time of year again already, time to shop for your dad/ brother/ other half/ man in your life who already has everything (or doesn’t want anything!) It’s always a bit of a stressful one when it comes to buying for a lot of men, as chances are you’ve already exhausted all of your good gift ideas over the years. But if you want to go one better than chocolates, alcohol and socks again, here are a few ideas to revisit that might land you on the perfect thing.
Tech/ gadgets
The thing with tech is that it changes all the time, so even if you’ve done techy type gifts in the past there’s probably something new you can buy. If the guy you’re buying from has a smart home system then adding a new Alexa Echo device, smart plug or cool new colour changing bulb/ lamp/ appliance could be one direction to go in. If they have a techy hobby like photography, coding, retro gaming, animation or anything like that then chances are there are new tech bits out there that they can use and have fun with. This could be anything from cheap stocking fillers to expensive main presents so there should be something regardless of your budget.
Tools
The man you’re buying for doesn’t necessarily need to be a full on ‘DIY guy’ to appreciate tools. Most of us need and use them, so adding a new tool to their stash or upgrading something they’ve been making do with for years could be a great gift. It could be anything from a nice screwdriver set to a new power tool, go with a trusted brand like DeWalt impact drivers or drills that you know will stand the test of time. If the guy you’re shopping for already has a lot of tools then a toolbox or storage of some kind could be the perfect thing for helping them to get organised in the new year.
Clothing/ Accessories
This of course wont apply to everyone, but you might find that some of the men in your life do actually rely on you to help them with clothing and style. If for example you’ve always bought your husband or dad clothes for special occasions then they might pretty much exclusively wear these things and rely on these occasions for new pieces. If you’re in this situation it can be quite handy as you always have something you can buy them. Buying clothes for someone you don’t know as well can be riskier, but a simple and good quality piece like a jumper could be a safe option. Or you could upgrade a daily item they use like a leather belt or wallet, or something like a new watch.

With just a few more weeks left now until Christmas it’s time to get searching for gifts if you haven’t already started. Hopefully this gives you some ideas to find the men in your life the perfect thing!
