As winter is slowly fading, I am ready and raring to move into my spring wardrobe, and although the weather here in Manchester doesn’t always allow for such ambitious ideas. I found a great way of introducing some of my favourite lighter pieces is to pair them with some of my favourite winter items.
These boots are an awesome year-round staple – rocking killer pointed toes and the super popular fitted, sock style make these great with jeans or longer skirts in winter, but they are also really flattering with shorter skirts and more spring/summer items. I have been dying to wear this skirt since I got it, but a combination of the length and the light, pastel tone obviously gives a more summery feel, so putting it with these versatile boots and an oversized slogan sweater really gave it the subtle look I wanted to achieve. I still got to show a bit of skin, but wasn’t too underdressed for the weather and the cosy jumper and high boots really brought the outfit into current season.
I also just have to mention this jumper. I had my eye on it for such a long time and was lucky enough to get it for Christmas. It is super cool, great quality and goes with practically everything (not to mention that I love margaritas)! It is just perfect with joggers or jeans for a cool athleisure-style look, but can be dressed up with a skirt or some high-waisted trousers for the evening or dinner with the girls.
