5 Natural Remedies for Clear Skin
I think everyone (me included) would love to have clear and smooth skin 24/7. Achieving this might not be as easy as you think. It takes time, diligence, a healthy lifestyle, effort and consistency. In addition, environmental factors like harsh weather, humidity, pollution, dust, diet, improper sleep, dehydration, and others can affect your natural glow and moisture.
Though makeup can make your skin appear spotless for a while, it can’t make your skin radiant and healthy from within. I have plenty of different skin oils and creams that I use regularly to keep on top of my skincare. However, sometimes simple and natural can be the best option. You might not have considered trying natural remedies that make your skin look clear and smooth. If this is the case, here are a few of my faves that work smooth-skin-wonders!
Honey is a great natural skincare product. Especially manuka honey, which has high medicinal benefits. Apply raw honey to your face and leave it for 10 minutes before washing it off. It will make your skin smooth and hydrated. You could also try making a facemask by adding one tablespoon of honey, baking soda, and lemon juice in a bowl. After applying on your neck and face, wash it off with warm water after 20 minutes.
Oatmeal — a breakfast staple, is among the natural remedies that you can use to get spotless skin. You can make a facemask by cooking one-half cup of oatmeal and then letting it cool. After that, add a tablespoon of lemon juice, an egg, and half of a mashed apple to the oat. Next, apply the paste to your face and leave it for around 15 minutes. After letting it sit, rinse with warm water, and your skin will turn baby smooth which you can flaunt.
Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer and is filled with antibacterial properties. Besides nourishing the skin, it can make it spotless and smooth. Additionally, it has medium-chain fatty acids, which contain antimicrobial properties. This property is essential for skin health and can prevent infections like athlete’s foot, folliculitis, cellulitis, and acne.
These are plant extracts that are refined into oils. Every plant has its aromatic compounds that give each essential oil its own set of characteristics and properties. Each one also has its health benefits. Essential oils such as Peppermint, Chamomile, Lavender, and Tea Tree can benefit the skin.
To use these oils, apply them to your face and skin before you go to bed. It is essential to make this the last part of your night skincare routine. When you wake up in the morning, rinse it off with warm water. Doing this daily can help you get the spotless skin you dream of!
