Finding Your Personal Style

Knowing your style can bring you visual capital and peace of mind. I feel like I’ve always known what sort of styles and fashion I like. However, feeling confident in your own style and really owning that is super important, in my opinion. I take inspiration from so many people on instagram and pinterest, but I feel like I’ve really found my own personal style over the last few years, and I love it!

Opening a wardrobe can be as overwhelming as to play with real money at Bizzo Casino!! If you’re just getting started you might need a guide to get you on the right track. Fashion is always changing. Trends come and go, so it can be hard to land on one style you love.

Understanding Your Personal Style

Style is an expression of your personality and lifestyle. It’s about knowing what works for you, and what makes you feel confident and comfortable. This self-awareness in fashion comes from an understanding of what you feel great in, personal preferences, and (sometimes!) practicality. Whether it’s classic, bohemian, chic, or eclectic, your style should be a reflection of who you are.

A major benefit of knowing your style is the ease it brings to shopping and wardrobe organisation. When you are aware of what suits you, shopping becomes more focused and less impulsive. I’ve definitely been guilty of liking a piece on someone else, buying it, but then never reaching for it as it just isn’t me. It also stops you from following every trend in stores since they may not match your own style. It’s great to be able to appreciate it for what it is, but not need to try and force fit it to suit you.

The Significance of Colour Palette

Equally important is understanding your colour palette. Colours play a crucial role in enhancing your appearance. Knowing which colours look good on you, or you feel great wearing, can transform your look. Dopamine dressing at its finest! It makes you appear vibrant, healthy, and put together. This can also save time and makes your wardrobe more efficient. For instance, someone with a cool complexion might look washed out in warm tones like orange, but can shine in blues or purples. Similarly, those with warm undertones can enhance their glow with earthy colours. Knowing your colours helps create a wardrobe that goes together easily. Mixing and matching pieces becomes simple, so you need fewer items for a versatile and functional wardrobe.

Resisting Fashion Industry Pressures

The fashion industry constantly introduces new trends. This often makes consumers feel outdated or pressured to keep buying new items. However, when you are grounded in your personal style and colour palette, you become more resistant to these pressures. You’ll find that you recognise that not every trend is worth following, especially if it doesn’t align with your aesthetic.

By focusing on what suits you, rather than what’s currently in vogue, you cultivate a timeless wardrobe, reducing the lure of fast fashion. This approach is beneficial for your wallet, closet space, and the environment, as it promotes sustainable fashion practices. Keeping up to date is also really fun, just make sure you know you love a new trend enough before investing.

Conclusion

Knowing your personal style and colour palette is important in the world of fashion. It allows you to build a wardrobe that is true to yourself, transcending the fleeting nature of fashion trends. Knowing this empowers you to make smarter, more sustainable fashion choices. It ensures your style stays unique and authentic, regardless of fashion rules. In a world where fashion often forces conformity, understanding your style and colours is a powerful tool for self-expression and confidence.

At the end of the story, Coco Chanel was completely right when saying: “ Less is more”.
