Head-Over-Heels

I am absolutely head-over-heels (couldn’t resist) with these shoes from Public Desire. They look great with dresses and skirts, but are the perfect shoe to add femininity to a casual outfit.

I am loving layering and adding accessories to simple outfits at the moment, for an effortless-chic, thrown-together-but-still-look-amazing sort of look. Layering however can be a little more tricky in summer, as you don’t want to pile the layers on in the heat. My favourite way to layer in the hotter months is with floaty or oversized vests and tops, with a feminine or detailed bralette underneath. It is super flattering and ideal for staying cool.

Here I paired simple black, high-waisted skinnies with an over-sized white tee, tied up into a crop top. The addition of the dusky pink heels and bralette is really what makes the outfit. I also really like that the bralette has a crossover detail, and the shoes crossover tie tie across the front. For me, this kind of outfit is great for any occasion, and is the perfect mix of casual, feminine, effortless and cool.
