Breakfast Shake
For the last few weeks I’ve been trialling replacing my standard breakfast with the Nutribuddy Breakfast Shake. Recently I’ve been a little hit-and-miss with actually managing to get my breakfasts in. There have been many days where I’ve been too busy to eat, then by the time it has reached 11am I feel like I might as well hold off until lunch.
This has actually meant that a breakfast shake has been the perfect solution for me. I am not one to promote meal replacement shakes as I much prefer to get my nutrients from actual foods. However, Nutribuddy has been so great to have on the go recently; when I don’t have time to fit everything into my day.
Nutribuddy
You may have seen my previous post that I did with Nutribuddy, where I tried out their Shake Complete. I was totally new to the brand before then, and in the post I chatted about my thoughts on meal-replacement shakes. However, Nutribuddy totally changed my opinion on these. Simply because their shakes are packed with only clean, chemical-free and natural ingredients.
The Breakfast Shake is made with naturally-grown ingredients which are free from nasty pesticides and artificial fertilisers. It is made with pure, nutritious wholefoods and free from artificial vitamin blends, and is totally free from stabilisers, emulsifiers, thickeners or preservatives.
All you need to do is add 3 scoops to your Nutribuddy shaker. Add 300-400ml of milk or a milk substitute and shake. I actually mixed mine with additional protein powder to up my protein intake for the day.
My Review
Honestly I feel like Nutribuddy has saved the day recently for me! I have actually never been someone who skips breakfast. But with my time becoming more and more precious, it went out the window. Nutribuddy has been the perfect solution; I still feel like I am getting a good breakfast that is packed with all the nutrients I need for my busy lifestyle.
I got a new pink shaker which is just the cutest, and it is ideal for throwing in my work or gym bag in the morning. If I do want to feel like I am getting more of a ‘meal’, I just add the shake mix and some protein powder into a bowl and microwave with the milk. The mix basically turns into a smooth porridge type consistency. I also usually chill this overnight and top with berries in the morning.
The only negative I can think of is that the consistency might not be to some peoples taste. If you leave the shake to settle for a while after mixing, the oat segments can separate so the bottom is a little gritty. The thicker the liquid you mix it with, the less this happens though. Or I just give mine another quick shake before drinking to make sure its mixed thoroughly.
I have seen Nutribuddy popping up on loads of influencer channels recently, and it’s refreshing to see a clean and affordable shake that is doing so well.
You can head to the Nutribuddy site here to shop, or check out this article for more info on what shake is right for you.
