I was recently sent this subscription box from Flux to try out. Subscription boxes come in all shapes and sizes now, so no matter what you are interested in, you can be sure that there is a subscription box out there filled with the perfect treats for you.
The Flux subscription box is specially designed for women, to help us get through that ‘time of the month’. Flux is a company all about helping to break down the stigmas surrounding periods. Their bio explains that they are unapologetic about empowering women, supporting gender equality and being all about feminism. To support this, a portion of their profits goes towards helping women’s charities around the world.
They also explain that even though periods happen to half the world’s population, they’re still something that very few of us feel comfortable talking about. This has all sorts of negative effects on women all over the world – from 24% of British girls going through the horror of starting their periods before they’ve been taught about them, to 41% of girls in Nepal who are held back in life by regularly missing school because of their periods.
The box is the perfect size for your letterbox, and upon opening it I found a cute personalised sticker with my name on it sealing the items in tissue, and a quirky fact printed in the top of the box.
Each box can be customised however you like, with additional goodies that you can select during the checkout process. You can select your preferences from a whole range of tampons and towels, and how many you would like each month. You can also personalise the box with your name, or someone else’s if it is a gift. Each box also contains a little newsletter with lovely little articles and features, and a monthly puzzle for you to solve.
My box contained a mixture of the items on offer for me to try out, so I got some tampons, a handmade chocolate bar and some delicious Pukka teabags. I love that you can personalise the box to whatever you fancy, and the items on offer are just perfect for when you are feeling a little down and are in need of something to lift your spirits and make you feel better.
Flux have also just announced that they have been able to make their first donation to a homeless shelter in Nottingham, and are continuing to help women have access to what they need, when they need it, and providing them with dignity.
Flux boxes start at only £3.50 a month, with free shipping, and subscriptions can be paused or cancelled at any time – so you aren’t obligated to get them every month once you sign up. The site and whole concept is really flexible, and definitely made to suit each individual, at any given time.
Head over to their site here to find out more and try out a box today!
