If you follow my blog, or especially my Instagram, you will have noticed that I have recently really stepped up my health and fitness game. I did start this towards the end of 2016, but this year it has really stuck; I have been going to the gym at least 5 times a week, eating healthily, and fuelling my body in all the right ways. Of course I still have treats and indulge a little (and sometimes a lot) at the weekend, but life is all about balance.
We all know the phrase ‘abs are made in the kitchen’, and I definitely find having the right foods to eat and meal prepping to make a huge difference to my diet and lifestyle. I was doing this way before I really began my training and fitness journey, partly because it’s so much healthier and I like to know exactly what is in my food, and partly because it’s just so much cheaper.
This post is just to share with you guys one of my favourite new snacks. I am a total snacker, and would snack all day every day if I could; I am always the person with about 5 different snacks in their handbag, and my locker in work is full of healthy treats in case I get peckish.
These Kind bars are so delicious, and are what I have been reaching for if I fancy a sweet treat, if there are cakes and chocolate being passed around the office and I want a healthy alternative, or if I have a lighter meal and just need a snack to fill me up and keep me going until dinner. They are also great as a post-workout snack or with breakfast.
Just look at all the incredible flavours! As a self-confessed coffee lover, my favourite at the moment is the Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond. The best part about these is that they are packed full of goodness, and made from whole nuts, fruits and spices, bound together with honey. Not to mention being dairy and gluten free! Kind believe that if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it shouldn’t go into your body. All of their snacks are packed with fibre, protein and vitamins, and while I, of course, wouldn’t go eating 5 at once (everything in moderation and all that), I have found they are the perfect snack for me when I fancy an indulgent treat to keep me going.
Do you have any favourite healthy snacks? Have you tried Kind bars?
